Cedar Park is the next Austin-area suburb to score, not just one, but two major mixed-use development projects. That’s right, Indigo Ridge North and Bell Boulevard District are both green-lighted for this popular, fast-growing suburb in North Austin. Keep reading to learn more about the exciting new changes that are coming to one of our favorite Austin communities.
Indigo Ridge North
Indigo Ridge North is a massive, $1.5 billon mixed-use development that will have it all! Located at the northwest corner of Whitestone Boulevard and Sam Bass Road, this project boasts a total of 155 acres and will include 5 million square feet of mixed-use space.
What will Indigo Ridge North offer on this sprawling site? Everything – offices, hotels, residences, shops, restaurants, and entertainment venues. With more than 1,000 apartment units and 2 hotels in the works, this will be the new “it” place for Cedar Park residents to call home.
Perhaps one of the biggest draws to this mega-development is its tennis performance center. With funding from the US Tennis Association of Texas, Indigo Ridge North plans to construct 40 tennis courts, a five-story performance center, and a stadium court, along with all the amenities needed to host training and competitions. This state-of-the-art complex is sure to be a grand slam!
Indigo Ridge North will be built out over six phases, and the developers hope to start construction by 2020.
Bell Boulevard District
With a total of 52 acres, Bell Boulevard District will be a mixed-use development much like its neighbor to the south, The Domain. This pedestrian-friendly project will include 40 acres of walkable shopping, dining, office space, and residential units, as well as 12 acres of parkland.
Located in the North Buttercup Creek area of Cedar Park, the Bell Boulevard District will stretch from Park Street to Buttercup Street Road. The development will be a multi-phase project that will be developed over the next 20 years, with Phase One slated to start construction in late 2019. This first phase will consist of 20 acres of mixed-use development and will transform the Buttercup Creek Natural Area into a 12 acre park.
By the end of the project, Bell Boulevard District plans to offer at least 1,500 residential units and almost 200,000 square feet of retail, giving Cedar Park residents a new place to live, work, and play.
There’s no doubt that this community is experiencing an explosion in growth, so now is the time to get in on the action. With a thriving economy and so much to offer, Cedar Park is quickly making its way to the top of many homebuyers’ lists. It’s an exciting time to call Cedar Park home!
